Due to the 1994 Genocide, Rwanda’s population is predominantly young. Many of whom grew up without parents. While the government has supported pre-1994-born youth with education, many post-genocide young people in Kigali, even those with university degrees, face high unemployment and low wages (sometimes as little as $30/month). Despite the odds, Rwandan youth are talented, resilient, and ready to lead. With your help, we can ensure they thrive and inspire their communities to prospere as well.
